It is almost time to ship. I have cut my ties w/ my 9-5 and AustinDesignGuy.com is almost done. I don’t know how long I will work freelance or what is to come. But I know that through taking these steps and through failing and learning, I will find myself closer. Closer to reaching where I did not think I would get to. Not necessarily reaching financial or social success, but reaching a satisfaction of that feeling that I was made to do more. That I am not wasting my talents and that my life would be worthy of the gospel. I don’t know where this path is going, but I refuse to stand by resting here any longer. God is amazing that He would love me in a way that would move me.

You should ship too. Read anything by Seth Godin, Dan Miller or Dave Ramsey.

It is important to remember that I am typing this to you while I sip on some refreshing orange juice and eat a cinnamon apple cruller. So I decided long ago that this month would be a “Dave Ramsey” month, meaning I would be more strict about using only cash and the envelope system. After finishing almost both pay cycles, it is time for a review and a lesson from the big guy too. (more…)

Thursday, December 18th, a little after 6am (and a 11 hour sleep) I brought my reign of fury. Armed with my digital camera, the most obnoxious aerosol I could find (Pina Colada), and my favorite (and appropriately named) hype song from back in the day (Smell Me – By Christopher Rucker) I proceeded with the plan.
